Visiting the Newseum

An extremely fun adventure! The museum offered a variety of important and crucial topics which affect the history of the United States. It was an overwhelmingly touching experience, specifically when it came to the 911 and Pulitzer Prize exhibits. It is difficult to imagine a greater jewel to the world of journalism than what is offered at the museum. Its interactive activities and videos show amazing first person feelings and thoughts.

The camera and bag of the camera man who died as he honorably continued to shoot the disaster at the twin towers rung a bell with the toll of the deaths that fateful day. Sacrifice of one’s life is the ultimate gift to society and serves as a lesson for younger generations.

The Pulitzer Prize exhibit leaves long lasting images in the memories of those who witness these perfect moments. It is inevitably a series of crucial photos which allow us to contemplate the issues offered by the photographers.

Overall it was an incredible experience.
